Yup, my jaw dropped when I read that. Are you getting any type of severance package or anything?

Take some time off is what I say. You have the education and experience to get another position. OR this might be "things happening for a reason" and you should work on some of the ideas you've talked about in the past.... just a thought...

I'm so sorry. It's happening all over but this will give you a chance to think about what you want to do and go for it. It happened to me a few times and each time I never believed that it was for the best until I experienced landing in a better place.

Remember there are stages you go through in this just as in grief. First you say, why me? You are scared. Then you get angry. Then you can mobilize yourself to prepare for a better future. Don't deny the feelings you have right now. They are normal and necessary to get you to the next stage.

Sorry to hear about that Kristie. That was a pretty crappy way they did it. I hope you get some sort of severance pay. Weren't you thinking about looking for a new job though? Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise and you will find something better or take some time off and do some traveling before that.
