Try to ENJOY some of this time off and do some traveling. I too am a believer that all things happen for a reason, it is just sometimes hard to understand those reasons. Maybe you can give it a try a write this tourist guide you were talking about ( and sell it as well)...cause you are funny writing and lots of fun to read as well and the pilotīs wife perspective to the traveling is something new...
