Default Weight Loss Challenge

All right ladies,
Now that we've disscussed our favorite candy bars, I need help.

I want (need) to drop 10 lbs for a wedding in October.
I have no, nada, zip, zero will power. I would love to have a partner(s) to encourage me and vise versa.... would anyone like to join me?

Here's my goal -
10 lb weight loss by October 18th

What's your goal?

My plan is.....
Breakfast, my Dr. Oz/Oprah shake
(soy protein shake with blueberries, h20, banana, honey, flax seed oil and psyllium seed husk -- sounds gross but I actually crave it)

Lunch - soy protein shake (if possible) or "best" low calorie option, veggies

Dinner - lean meat or soy option, lots of veggies

Snacks - apples, sunflower seeds, soy nuts, carrots

I'm trying to reduce (not do away with completely) deep fried foods, fatty meats (ribs) and sugar. I rarely drink soda - last one was in May. I usually drink water, 1 glass of juicy juice a day and sometimes a glass or two of wine.

Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, I don't eat any sugar supplements -- aspartame, sorbitol etc. They're not for me.

For me, I tried a few diets to lose 15 lbs and I just could never stay on them. That's just my weakness, though. Some people do great on diets. What finally helped me was finding an exercise class that I really liked and felt challenged in. I went 3-5 times a week and watched what I ate, but with no strict guidelines. If I wanted ice cream, I ate it. I lost the weight and am at a place that I never imagined I could be. I actually just started training to be an instructor for my studio, so I really surpassed my goals. I think the exercise portion is most important, but you really need to experiment and find something you really like and what works for you. That was just my experience, though. It is different for everyone. Just make it enjoyable and it will be easy! Good luck, I know you can do it.

I'll do it with exercise and a blog to up the ante some! blogging about how we did throughout our day and what our mistakes were might be helpful! I could create a special "weight loss challenge" blog forum.

I need to lose some before end of september!! I've unfortunately gotten off my swimming which is really do need to get back into.

wellI am joining in, and I am p/g. I just got cleared to exercise again. I gained sooooo much weight with my son that I really want to stay in the 20-30 lbs weight gain area this time around. plus the better shape I'm in going into this whole thing the faster the weight will come off in the end!

Yipppeee! This is going to be great.
I've been trying to work out on the eliptical at least 20 mins a day. I've also bought a pedometer and am trying to get in 10,000 steps a day.
I love pilates, but haven't had the time to do a dvd/tape workout. But there's a new pilates studio near my house and I'm dying to try it!
Good luck everyone.

I'll play...I can log along, but I suck horribly at loosing weight. Anyone have any good suggestions for a mid section exercise routine. I have never been happy with it.
