Default Kristie, you're a character!

Well, your name is, anyway. I couldn't think of a name for a woman in this new thing I'm writing (the woman is the main character's neighbor), so I went to JC, saw Kristie, and thought, "Kristie!"

Kristie is henceforth the neighbor, who is married to Karl. You have two children and your husband has a personalized license plate.

Hm. Might have to change Karl to Carl so keep it from being cutesie.

Oh, it's not doing THAT great - I contacted their page first to ask if they'd be interested in helping to promote the book, and they countered with asking me if I'd be willing to donate a copy.

(What's ATHF?? I feel like I should know this!)

The basis of the new one: The main character (Dan) believes the world is ending, so he spends the next (however long) in a frantic rush to do everything he thinks he needs to do before he dies. (In a very vague nutshell.) The scene I just finished writing, where Kristie comes into a conversation, has Dan standing on the lawn with his neighbor (Carl), whom he's just convinced to reveal something under the assumption that the world MIGHT end.

if I was doing all that I wanted before the world ended I think I would: one....let my parents know that I forgive them for all of their mistakes and two....i don't know travel...how cliche' is that!

I'd eat a ton of pasta, get good and drunk, smoke as often or as little as I wanted, and make sure Ian was with me for all of it.
