Default Hair Styles

I am thinking about getting my hair cut. I am particularly obsessed with Victoria Beckham's hair style. Dh doesn't think it would look good on me, but then again he doesn't like short hair. I've had my hair as short as my chin with layers, but never as short as her hair is in the back. I mean, it grows out if I do it and don't like it. I just can't decide.

<----So that is what I look like. Do you think this hair would look good? It's not really a good picture I guess, but use your imagination. I tried to find one of those virtual makeover things and I found a few but I am not going to pay for it, and the ones I found with her on it are not free.

i can't really tell from your picture - is your face really round or more ovally? If it's more of an oval, i'd say go for it! If it's more round, avoid it. I have a super round face and my biggest fear is coming out looking like a pumpkin, so i tend to shy away from short styles.

oh i too have a super round face, if i go too short i look like a ball with fur...NOT pretty...but ok, I did try a haircut like hers, like short in the back and long fringes in the front BUT I didn't go shorter than mid-neck...if that makes sense, I just know that anything shorter than my chin(at most) I just look really disporportioned...

Round face+Naturally BIG head=I just took kinda funny! hahaha..

Hey Emily,
I've had a ton of short styles and just a few really short styles. Some I've loved and some not so much. But I figure it's only hair and it will grow out.

I've used the same hair stylist for years, and I say this is what I want, can I do it? She's very honest.

I've got a bob this time and will change it somehow by fall.
I love VB's hair too but I love Katie Holmes style right now.

My dh doens't love short hair, but he's not the one styling it everyday. I style my hair the way I want -- and of course I tell his stylist how he should wear his hair!!!!

Good luck and show us some pictures!!!
Jen

I've had it that short, and it looked cute some days, and other days it just did NOT come out right. It was like it had to be the perfect amount of "dirty" (cause fresh out of the shower made it flat). I just found it to be a pain in the bum, and I agree that if your face is more round, it could end up making you look like a triangle head, especially if the cut is too thick at the ends. It's taken me YEARS and a lot of bad hair cuts to get my hair long again, and I don't think I'll ever go back to as short as it was, BUT this is my own personal experience and if it's something you really want to try, you should.

Emily- I too have been admiring Posh's hair! I'm trying to keep mine long so it can be styled up for our wedding (whenever the heck that is!). As soon as I'm married I'm getting my hair cur shorter b/c honestly I look better with shorter hair. Most of the time my hair is cut like Jen's in her avatar. I also had one that was like Posh's but longer- just angled (shorter in back). Talk to your hair person and see what he/she says.

Also remember that Posh has enough money to hire professionals to do her hair perfectly every day!

I haven't decided if I am going to do it yet. Dh thinks my face is too round, but I don't think it is. I have been growing it out for a few months now and I kind of want it to grow out and I kind of want to cut it. I don't have very thick hair so it looks stringy when it gets long, which is why EVERY time it gets as long as it is, I cut it. I just get bored with it. I have been wanted to get it short for a while, but I haven't had the guts to actually do it.

I just wonder how hard it is to actually style that hair style every day. I unfortunatly don't have the money to have someone style it for me every day haha. I kinda feel like its time to get a grown up hair style now. I mean its only hair, if i hate it I can grow it out. I was reading some hair websites and one of them said this style is easy to grow out, there is no weird grow-out period.

I don't have a hair person right now, I just went to someone new the other day because I had an unfortunate mis-hap with some at home highlights...but all is taken care of now! I liked the lady who fixed the color, I may go back in a few weeks and do something. I'll let you all know! Thanks for the comments. I'll try to find a better pic more straight on, too.

I do like Victoria Beckhem's hair.. but like Amanda said, she has people probably styling it every day. Hell... I wish I had the luxury.

But besides that.. I think it never hurts to try. Hair grows.

Thanks! I tried that one, and i found some short ones, but it still isn't giving me a good idea of if I would really like it or not. My mom thinks my hair is too thin. I think that would be a better reason for it to be short since then it won't be weighed down by itself. I don't know yet! I will wait until I know. Its not like this is a *big* issue or anything, I'm sure there are better things in the world to worry about.

By the way as I am on the way to Posh's hair, I have been working out the last few days (and hopefully will keep doing it!) to try to look at least somewhat like Posh's body. Since I don't have personal trainers and it is not my job to look hot, a slight resemblance is all I am asking for! Then the hair will look better! Here's to motivation!

Edit: I just watched the VB special on nbc.com and she actually has a hair person and a makeup person to do her hair EVERY day! That is insane! I thought it was just for like big occasions and things like that, but EVERY day?!?
