| Was looking at my yearbooks and some pictures from way back .... I remember when I was so excited that my parents finally bought me Kangaroo tennis shoes. It was so cool for me to put my milk money in the zipper part!!! I also remember when my grandpa bought me the 45 record of "Freeze Frame" and the little plastic center pieces to make it work on my record player!!!! What do you remember when? |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | hahaha...considering I graduated in 2001...honestly, not a lot has changed...us 'girls' would see who has the 'flariest'jeans...our school was all about labels, which didn't go so well for me (I grew up in a foster type home, and well didn't have/or was up to the trends)...but I just remember the labels...like GAP, Old Navy, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle...In junior high, I remember those digital pets that EVERYONE had...hmmm...what else...my school was all about popularity... I call it crazy...

| OMG - we're 10 yrs apart. I graduated in 1991 and we didn't have flared jeans, but pegged pants!!!! My high school was formed from a county school (farmers) and a city school (richies). It was the same at my school - lots of labels, who got the coolest car when they turned 16, etc. |

| Oh, I remember teasing my hair pretty high in the front, sun-in, and parachute pants. Smurfs, Snorks, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, and Family Ties were the shows.....oh-yeah, in college we didn't go out until Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose. My kids have some of my old smurf toys, my Gizmo stuffed animal, etc. The cabbage patch kid that I just had to have was thrown away, but I see cabbage patch on the shelves now. Madonna, Michael Jackson, Culture Club, Poison, Bon Jovi, and Cindy Lauper were the musicians....my hubby actually had Cindy Lauper as a passenger on one of his flights. : ) Toilet papering, putt putt, $1.00 movie theatre, hanging out to watch Saturday night live (which I had to have special permission to do because it was past my curfew!), having water balloon fights in high school, and just hanging out with friends were the fun things to do; Life seemed so complicated, and I couldn't wait to grow up! Now, it seems like life back then would have been so easy if I would have enjoyed being young and not wanting tomorrow to happen today....

| The bracelets. The socks smooshed-crinkled down between shoes and pegged pant-legs. My "box." (radio) Walkmen. That weird thing girls would do with their bangs - spray a wall of them straight up off their forehead (what WAS that?). Mullets were pretty much the hair for men - it wasn't just a redneck thing.

| I had totally forgotten about Kangaroo's (I had a purple pair). That's hysterical! Thanks for the reminder. I loved WHAM! And for my 11th birthday I received the Beastie Boys tape "License to Ill". I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Also, Esprit (sp?) sweaters, swatches and Max Headroom. Oy! I'm feeling old, old, old. |

I had rockin blue leg warmers when I was a cheerleader in jr. high! ( I totally hated them and cheerleading!) I thought Johnny Depp in 21 jumpstreet was sooo cute. I had a picture of him and Boris Becker (tennis player) in my locker. I remember when MTV played videos and SNL was actually funny! | |
