| Admin/Owner ![]() | I do believe we're getting close to monsoon season out there!! had a serious dust storm come in late tonight.. it built itself all the way from tucson...enough that you could see the height just based off the skyline lights and i swear that puppy was at least at 10,000 with 40-50mph winds. There would have probably been no way to capture it via camera, so i didn't even try. but now, raining like wooodoggies out there now which means my outside windows are getting washed which is awesome considering the last time we had rain (rain + dust = dusted windows) I just love that desert rain smell, i could sit out there the entire rain event and just sniff it all in...if only there was a way to bottle that up! ![]()

| Does it happen often? I've never lived in the desert - but would love to move there. I'm so curious - try to get some pictures next time for us mid-westerners. ![]() |

| When Lance first told me about the monsoon season down there my first thought was *what its the desert, it doesn't rain!* ...boy did I have alot to learn Trady loved the storms down there, esp when the streets would flood and we would drive through with the truck, he would always yell drive faster mom! ahhh, it almost makes me miss old AZ!

| Oh yeah, My house is now covered in a nice thin layer of dust...didn't get rain at my home , but all its pretty dark out here today, which is so unusally for this city. It did blow the wreath off my front door though.... ![]() Need rain, need rain , need rain ! |

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | tara- you can take MY rain! It poured buckets on the way home yesterday and I hate it! In fact it seems to always rain here! In AZ it was like a special event when it rained so I didn't mind as much. I looked like a drowned rat when I got home yesterday. Grrrr.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Oh yeah...you can have some of the Carolina's rain too! No matter what, we can't plan anything in the afternoon because we have afternoon thunderstorms...I can almost bet on it! haha...I like to keep the radar up on my computer so I can just see the cells buildings, it's so strange to me still...

| Would you like some of England's rain? At the moment we have terrible flooding in vast swathes of the country - my parents may not be able to make it to my anniversary party tomorrow because of it. ![]() |

I'd say the one we had blow in that night was about the size of the 1st or 4th photo....big enough to get on the news in florida (so my sister said) and apparently in austria (via JC buddy). ![]() ![]()
