Default WOW! is this what boredom feels like?

I have like 3 jobs at my office right now.. one i have just about completed, one that is completed and now working on the last job, trying to make the time to faster because i don't have any money left on the project AND i have to stretch this puppy out (somehow) because i don't have any other work...

so, i'm bored.. at work...because i just dont have enough work...

I keep trying to put a list together of other things i need to get done (home/personal/non-work related) and yet, i can't seem to get it done...does boredom turn to lazy this quick or is it just an off day? hahaha

I haven't been this slow in ages and it's really weirding me out! last time i think i was bored for an overly long amount of time, i think was when doug was in the regionals....really....

Oh goodness Kristie...I never thought I'd be bored at any job, but I litterally sit there and look at my nails, because I just don't have enough work to do...it's like pulling teeth boredom...seriously, the last time that I was at work, I made a dentist appointment, and I HATE going to the dentist!

That's my job everyday! My boss isn't used to having an assistant and seems to forget that she can give me things to do. But I don't really want to go asking for work either...

I'm not planning on moving up in the field, or even to stay in it long, so I don't feel like I'm shooting myself in the foot by not taking more on.

To keep busy I- spend time on a few different internet forums, take care of as much personal business as I reasonably can and always keep paperwork spread out on my desk so I look like I'm busy...

Whew... I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering from boredomness! I'm in the same boat - and if I asked for more, I'd only get busy work; I know I should ask but I don't like busy work!! And it's so easy to slack on what I DO have to do... I suck Should it really be this hard to be motivated with the miniscule amount I have to do???

*sigh*

Any of you ladies want to rid your boredom? I have a wonderful solution!! (for me anyway) Feel free to come to CLT, anytime and play with my 4 kids and our crazy untrained pup. They are all home on summer break and will definitely cure your boredom blues. There is NEVER a boring moment in our home. Sounds fun right?!? How is it that I don't think I am going to get any responses??? LOL!

I, on the other hand, am having anxiety attacks because I am so overwhelmed!

funny story...after getting my teeth cleaned this morning, taking my car in to get a new hose for the AC, eating lunch, and walking the dog, I really needed a 15 minute nap before we were going to paint the kitchen...well, I layed down on the couch and '15 minutes' later it was 4:30pm!!!! I JUST SLEPT THE ENTIRE AFTERNOON AWAY! and the kitchen did not get painted!!?!?! I don't know if it was boredom or what, but I haven't had one of those afternoons in months!!

so i keep wondering how i can go about spreading out my work such that it doesn't affect my budget as much...i have to be 90% billable and yet, i'm not nor do i have enough work to keep me 90% billable...at this rate, i'll go over budget which will piss my bosses off.. it's like rock in a hard place... yuck!
