who else is inked? - Page 3

I actually just got my first tattoo last week. I had neve done it because Dave always said how much he hated tattoos, but I've been thinking of getting this one since I was 16. And since I'm doing the "what I want to do thing"--I did it!

It's a necklace my mom bought me--the north star charm from James Avery Jewlers. It means alot to me, kind of a long story behind it. These pictures were taken pretty recently after it was done, so you can't see all the really cool shading this guy did. It's purple and gold on the inside of my left ankle.

I have a few... roses around my ankle with my kids middle names (Stone and Hunter) in Japanese writing, a tiny fairy on the top of my foot, a flower on the small of my back, the Japanese symbol for "dream" on the back of my shoulder, and a large fairy on my hip, she's my favorite but I have to get some more work done to her, she takes up my entire hip and she needs some more color. I love tats, I have to stop myself from getting more, thats why my plan is to "improve" the ones I already have.

I have five...

One right over my heart on my chest, one on my shoulder, one on my right thigh, one on my right ankle, and one on my left calf.

I only have a picture of the one on my calf. I got that to show my DH I was committed to him while he was deployed overseas. I said I would NEVER put a guys name on me but he is my world and changed me for the better! This is a few hours old and the glare is from the Neosporin. I love tatts!!!!

I have 1 on my lower back...

In the last year I personally have faced a lot of challenges - DH changing careers to FO at XJT, maintaining a FT career with a 90 mi commute one way AND raising 4 yo b/g twins - needless to say, I've had a rough year. Then in Feb, I lost my job. I decided that since I have spent the last year - at least - making everyone else happy, I needed to do something for ME for a change. I've always wanted to get a tattoo, so I DID (with DH's 100% support, though I would have done it anyway!)

Got a Hibiscus flower on my lower back b/c I LOVE LOVE LOVE the beach, tropical weather, etc.! With the CPA in me, I of course had to research the daylights out of it before I felt comfortable, but I did it and DAMN glad I did!!!!

I said the same thing too. I feel the same way about my husband he changed my life so much, I feel so proud to wear his *tatoo*.
