I don't have any tattoo's yet, but I really want to get 1 or 2 for the kids. I'm not sure what to do and where to put it yet. I saw one girl have her childs birth footprint with the childs name under it....I like that idea.

Tommy Lee had his sons write their name (when they were learning to write) and had that tatooed on his arm. I thought that was a great idea.

i have one on the small of my back...my first spring break, my freshmen year, in south padre, my roomate and i opted to get tattoos right before leaving...I have a small cluster of stars that i designed...a couple of years later, i added another ring of stars...my sister and i, are going to get some tattoos when she is out here in august, and most likely it will be on my foot...

If and when you get one on your foot, I would like to see it!!!
I love Nicole Richie's ankle and foot tattoo, but would love to see other ideas!!!!!!!!

I have 3

One is between my shoulder blades, its a sun with 6 dolphins around it. I got it when I was 16 and although I can't see it I think the dolphins are starting to spread out to each other. I figure eventually I'll get something around the sun to cover the dolphins, although I do love the dolphins.

The 2nd one is on my hip its 4 blue paw prints, it was for my college mascot, UK Wildcats. I was slightly obsessed so on my 18th birthday I got that one. Its not quite as pretty as I would hope it would be though. Its ok, since its not really obviously UK.

The 3rd one is a green heart on my right lower back. I got it about a month before dh and I got married. Since his last name is Green I decided to get it. I wanted to get a big G in the middle and a small E on one side and a small K on the other side (like the monogram on a robe) but the guy said it would have to be block letters and I wanted pretty letters, so I will eventually get it at another place.

I want to get more, I love them. Its been about 2 years since I have had one. Dh wants to get a plane on his back, but he wants it BIG so he wants to wait til we have more $$. I think he is just making excuses.

I don't know what else I would want to get. I want to get a small black cat somewhere but I don't know where. I would love to get one with my sister since we are really close, but since she's 12 I have a few years to decide haha. Also, none of my tats have black on them, not even an outline. I feel like I'm unique that way haha. That also may be why my dolphins are slowly blending together...

I'll get some pictures on here sometime. I actually don't have any pics of them. I haven't seen the one on my back in a while! Haha.

I have 2 or 4, depending on how you count the 2nd. My first is a vine armband on my left arm... it has a normal vine and tribal style vine intertwined. I got it when I was 18 and didn't really think about what I wanted -- I just wanted to get a tattoo. The guy that did it was just starting out as a tattoo artist and it was one of his first 10 or 20 tats, so he was still kind of learning. Anyway, it looks okay, but not as nice as I'd like... the placement is too low on my arm, so I can't wear cap-sleeve shirts to work. So that's my regretted tattoo, even though I get compliments on it all the time. I also have 3 Japanese characters going down my back, starting on my shoulder blade. The same guy did all of my work, so you can see how he progressively got better, haha. I started with just one, because that was all I was going to get... then I needed more, LOL. Since I got them all one at a time, the whole meaning wasn't thought of ahead of time. The first one is the symbol for "seek", which I got when I was 19. Obviously I was looking for something, haha. Then I got "learn." I can't even remember what I'd figured out. The last one is "path" (or way). I'd like to get another to honor my dad, but I haven't decided how I want to do it. I'll post pics tonight if I remember - I have to pack for this weekend!

Thats weird thats EXACTLY like my first 2 tats were. I got the first one and it was one of his first few, then the 2nd one was better a couple years later. I think I may go back to him to see what he can do with the first one. I made dh take a pic of it for me today so I can see it, and it really does need to be fixed or something. I thought the picture was blurry, but it turns out my skin is blurry haha.

I'm too much of a scardy cat to get one. I went with my best friend to get hers though. Hers is sweet. Her family had symbols for all three children, heart, moon and star. The kids designed the tattoo with all three symbols intertwined and the entire family got the tattoo. I thought that was cool.

Got it! I suppose I was just visualizing my own children on that tattoo table and didn't give thought that the "kids" might actually be older.
