| Ok...another light question- What magazines do you currently subscribe to? I asked this on the "get to know you with a twist" thread, but of course was only able to hear one response (Thanks Eastbayk). So what magazines come to your home? Currently I subscribe to: Better Homes and Gardens- I love the great ideas (so inspiring) and the recipes Family Fun- A great magazine for things to do and places to see with your kids and family Health- Just a great overall magazine dedicated to taking better care of YOU. |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | We have AOPA pilot, flying magazine, sky soaring..... Silly me thinking that I could get a cosmo or a glamour at the store. (DH will occaisionally mention that they are just going to be garbage in a week.) |

| We subscribe to OK!, Mothering, and Wired but for some reason we get tons of other magazines that I've never paid for, shape, cookie, maxim, stuff, jane...I wish they would stop coming because they are taking over my house!

| For a while I subscribed to TIME and US News & World Report. My friend's son keeps sending me these subscription things so he can make money for boyscouts, or something, and I'm a sucker. I MEANT to read the magazines, but they ended up making a worthless pile on a shelf, instead. Same with the National Geographics I tried to get into years ago. Used to subscribe to The Sun (literary mag), too, but got sick of reading about gloom and doom and death and cancer all the time. Some good stories, but come ON. Now I will occasionally buy my smut (Hollywood gossip rags) at the grocery store, and subscribe to nothing.

| Jetgirls Member | I posted on the other thread about this one. I only subscribe to things I can't find through our library system: Bitch- a magazine that critiques the media from a feminist perspective (abrasive name, but interesting stuff) Hip Mama- a magazine put out by a single mom writer in Portland. Usually non-mainstream mothering perspectives Mothering- a parenting magazine focusing on a more natural lifestyle I also read an online magazine called Literary Mama which comes out every other week or so. DH gets Details and AOPA which I usually skim and summarize for him (ie. "Baby, Details says square toe shoes are out so you had better start looking for some new ones OK?") Kim
