| Jetgirls Member | I can't do any of the tanning stuff (not even the lotions), but I know some friends that have had some good results from that. They also have that spray-tan stuff at the tanning places. I know LOTS of people who do that, and it looks GREAT! |

| The withdrawl I had was horrible. I had the headache from hell but once I got through it, I felt great. I decided one day to try pizza with cheese and was so sick that night. I was begging for my stomach to digest it - FAST. |

| I wish I could go swimming to work out! Having the kids makes it SO tough to find time to workout. When I was losing weight after my first baby, he was still napping twice a day, so I'd work out & shower during his first/morning nap, and then I'd still have his afternoon nap to clean, do chores, etc. Now, with neither of them napping, I don't have one single minute to myself in the day until they go to bed at night. By then I'm so mentally & usually physically exhausted, it's damn near impossible to put on a workout video or go down to the cold ugly basement to the NordicTrak. I can't wait for this miserable weather to warm up so I can take the kids WITH me to the Monon Trail where I can put them in the double jogging stroller and rollerblade. They think it's a hoot, cause with me on the blades they go so much faster than if I'm just pushing it while I'm walking. It really is the best workout for us, but it's not possible to do while it's cold or raining. My jeans were getting tight again, and I knew it was time to get 'back on the wagon'. My biggest irritation is having clothes in my closet that I'm too fat to wear! I don't even know for sure how much I weigh, I don't get hung up on numbers. But dammit if my clothes don't fit then I know I'm getting fat! Kudos to you Kristie for working out like that! Awesome job! |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | Day 6: Well, Sunday really came and went...i didn't get hardly anything done except the house picked up (maids are coming today to clean) cuz i was playing surrogate mom till i could take baby bird to the wildlife refuge...so, no pool or work out. I needed to give myself a break at the pool anyways cuz my shoulders were starting to get too sore. that lovely little fat packet right near the underarm area is just about gone. still waiting to see some change in lower abdomin area or upper thigh but nothing really noticeable yet. but i learned on saturday that you can "share" lanes and that seems kinda weird to me.. i mean what if you bump the other person? Day 7 (i'm gonna lose track of days here soon, i just know it ):Anyways, i'm back to the pool tonight altho i'll probably go later cuz i bet monday's everyone is scrambling to work out. Still haven't had a coke yet - YAY! the little crystal light/lipton tea things are working good! now that i've got the exercise and coke habit for the most part under control.... what should i do next? back massage, pedicure this weekend or try eating brown rice with my tofu or cut something else out of my life? hmmmm....i'm doing so good, i should try to change something about me every week (if i can).

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Actually, you should stop before feeling full at all, it takes 20 minutes for your food to digest. Dr. Oz suggests a handful of walnuts 20 minutes before you eat, and also try putting your dinner on a salad plate, less room, less food, and remember, your mom isn't there to force you to lick the plate clean! ![]() |

I was on the swim team in high school and we had about 10 girls in a lane, its possible! You just swim like your driving, go to the right! Be careful when you pass, thats all. Like if you are doing breast stroke, maybe have a smaller stroke when you pass so you don't hit them with an elbow or knee. And if you do bump them, I'm sure they won't bite your head off or anything. Thats great that you have been working out so much. I did on Friday and then went tanning, then on Saturday i went tanning first and burnt, so it hurt to much to sit in a chair, let alone work out and move a whole lot. So now its not hurting as much, so I think I'll go tomorrow. I have used to Jergens tanning lotion, it came out a few years ago. I still get orange on my knees and elbows though. I got a spray on tan once, which worked but like in between your toes looks weird because its very white. It also is about $30, and there is a free tanning bed at my apartments. My mom has skin cancer, and I know I shouldn't tan, but I have stayed out of the sun for 2 years. I just want to tan one time lol. Just one summer and I'll get it out of my system! I know its stupid, but I don't drink (much) and I don't smoke or do drugs, so I think one summer will be ok. | |

| The tanners now are gradual. Neutrogena, Dove, Olay all make them. And they make specialized creams for the body vs. the face. It takes about two weeks to achieve the full tan and then it is maintained. I used it last year before we went to St. Maarten in May and loved it so much that I used it till October. It took about two weeks to fade away completely. I'll start again next week in preparation for our May departure. I never tried a spray on one though. So I don't know how well they work. |
