Default Re: Day 3 and counting...("Getting back to ME" blog)

I have a silly goal

I drink one cup a coffee a day and sometimes I skip depending on how I feel...caffenine is soo bad for me anyway..but I need that kick in pants.

Maybe we good change our "coffee talk" to green tea talk" or something

My silly goal is to lose ten pounds during this ground school training !! I'm going to weigh myself day DH leaves and then day before arrival back home (8 weeks) if I have lost the weight I want then I get to go buy a new outfit and maybe cut my hair , pretty much look gorgeous to go pick him up at the airport...I only get the new outfit if I've lost the weight..but I'll probaly still get the hair cut
what do ya think ?

I think I've seen you in person and you are beautiful- you don't need to lose any weight at all!

But I do suggest when you pick him up at the airport for the 1st time after ground school, wear something cute/sexy (not trampy!). Nick loved it when I wore a little dress to pick him up. hee hee
sorry for the sharing.

Yeah,,, that is my goal. I would LOVE to loose 10 -15 lbs. I weigh 132 now and my goal is 120. I feel and look so much better at 120 cause I have always been a petite person. I DO NOT feel good at this weight. WHen I started I was 136.5! So SLOW!!!

I know what you mean about feeling better at one weight vs where I am now. It AZ I was surrounded by super thin people at work and when I went out so of course I was thinner there. I can't seem to lose the weight here. I am only 4'11" so if I told you my size or weight you would hate me - but short people don't have a lot of places for the extra weight to GO!

P.S. by the way I'm sure you look great!

Maybe for us ladies that have DH/BF in training that want to lose some weight and do something different themselves by the time they return should start a thread or something like that to have a support system ???? Any ideas on how to do that ?

My SIL weighted the same as me and she thought she looked big, but she was 4 inches taller than me and looked great! I think for every inch taller, it's equal to like 2-3 pounds. So at 120 pounds on a 5 foot person is equal to about 140 pounds on a 5 foot 4 person.

Well, on other boards I've done a 3 month competition, $5 entry, winner takes all, with weekly weigh ins and bonuses, based of a percent of loss instead of pounds lost.

ooo that sounds fun ...money to help with "the welcoming home outfit" or I'd do the competition for free, just need a buddy system to push me along

Heck, I'd settle for a support thread at this point! Working out sucks... but man, do I miss my arms and waist and behind!!

Hey Mc - maybe we should get the PHX ladies together for some workout support?? Or maybe some fun cardio like dancing?
