Default Laser skin surgery

Has anyone had this or know anyone that has? I have some red lines, look like broken blood vessels on my face, caused by sun that I would like to have removed. Just wondering if it really works. No one else seems to notice them, but I do and they really bother me so I would like to get rid of them if possible.

I had one on my cheek that my dermatologist lasered last year. She said it was pretty deep and it would probably take a couple of treatments. After one, I was happy with it and I didn't want to make it worse. She said since mine was deep it might require a stitch to keep in closed but we decided it was best to leave it as is. I had it for a while, and it was really bothering me (especially since one day I picked at it and it gushed blood...and then any time I touched it, it would gush). So I finally had my dermatologist look at it and she said it would be easy to laser the blood vessel.

I am really happy with the way it looks right now. Mine was a dot (larger than a dot) but it was really bright (and raised since I picked it) and the one treatment lightened it enough that it doesn't bother me anymore. I thought about getting a second treatment, but I am also nervous that it might make it worse again since I seem to have a lot of blood sitting in that area.

Good luck.

Holy cow, you were going to need stitches from laser surgery? Glad it turned out ok. Was it caused by sun? The stuff I have is sun damage. The nurse p. at my regular doctor told me several years ago that it was rosecea, but a dermatologist said it was sun damage. It is not raised or anything, just looks like red thread or something. I don't know why it bothers me, no one else notices!

The dermatologist said I would need stitches to close the vessle if it burst open again right away (she said it looked pretty deep and she couldn't be sure that the laser would close it) but it is fine after a year. I am not sure why mine was caused by, I remember having it for a long time. It started bothering me a lot more when I picked at it one day and then it became raised since I had irritated it. It was flush with my skin before.

Mine was more of a large dot and not lines, but it really bothered me. I always noticed it in the past, but no one else said they noticed it. It was all I saw when I looked in the mirror though! It is still there a little, and I thought about having the dermatologist zap it again, but I figured I should leave well enough alone right now!
