Ugly!

Were duck shoes the shoes you really wear in rain, ice and snow OUTSIDE? I do remember people in school though wearing them all the time. I also mainly went to school in Florida - so rain wasn't too bad and there surely wasn't any ice and snow!

Yes, duck shoes had that dark blue rubber toe and the rest were tan. They were very ugly too! But they were all the rage for a short while. I don't remember them being knows as comfortable though!

Divers wear Crocs (but not DH) because they are easy to get on and off and they have to walk around the boat to wash out equipment, etc. I believe they started out as boating shoes.

Oh yeah, I have two pairs of ballet flats, one white and one black. They are SO comfortable it's not even funny. They look nice with jeans or skirts! My white pair I got at Kohls, about $12.00 last summer, and my black pair I just got at Target yesterday for $15.

Were Doug and Bill separated at birth? I swear they sound SO much alike sometimes! Bill is convinced that we need to put heating wires under our master bathroom tile! He even went so far as to put a space heater in there, and leave it on all night so he's not cold when he gets up to go to the bathroom! He wanted to put ANOTHER heater in the potty room (the master bath's toilet is in it's own itty-bitty little room)! A separate space heater for a room that's barely twice the size of the toilet! When he told me that I just looked at him like was from Jupiter or something. He said "I guess that's kind of silly, isn't it"? Yeah.

People will always wear things that I find ugly. I never liked UG boots either...people just want to look different.

Oh, my goodness, just the other day I put DS's feet into sandwich bags and then into his shoes to play out in the snow because I have not bought him actual boots yet! The next day I caught him trying to put the bags on his feet again -I about peed my pants laughing!!!

As for the Crocs, they were the only thing I wanted for Christmas last year. I'm not a nurse but I work in a hospital and it grosses me out to wear my "hospital shoes" in the house. I thought they would be a great thing to wear and I have to say, I LOVE THEM. They are so comfortable its incredible! Ugly? Yes, but comfort is always my first priority!

I see Crocs for funtion and not so much fashion. I think they look cuter on little ones. One thing though...even though they are "open" and have a lot of holes, for some reason it seems like your feet would sweat in them!

My family must have been extra poor, becuase we had layers of bread bags... my brother and I would fight over the "best" ones, you know the ones that didn't have a hole in it.

We had a lot of snow last night and I plan on bundling up the little ones today and sending them outside... I am glad you reminded me of the plastic bags!!

Crocs are SOOOOO ugly! They are great for ppl in the medical profession though (my aunt is a nurse & LOVES them) because if they get some yucky substance on them, all they have to do is toss them in the dishwasher.
