Well the pilots don't have to ratify the TA. They do have a choice.

well, it seems that the TA is a step in the right direction for the pilots - as far as coming to an agreement on cuts and so forth...but the 14% is still too high in my opinion... we expected more from the union, the pilots are ticked off because of how the system isn't working for them because they expected the union to "not back down" even a percentage from the offer they'd previously given of a tiered 9%...

and I think the pilots are still quite concerned about the percentage of paycut they'd be taking...19% and 14% are really not that far off (only 4% difference)...9% was much more reasonable and the union should have stuck to it.

it seems that everything else in the contract is "ok" thus far...they'll have some motion in seniority with taking the post retirement pilots out and per diem isn't falling quite as short. of course, some of the ratifications, like flight benefits, are the same as the other employees, which i think is fine... if they have to, we should too as a unified body.. but DAL should drop the embargo dates then (just personal opinion)...

I'm not sure what to make of the neutral 3rd party though or who those people are that they've appointed to be the neutral party come March.

but i'm still not going to back it unless Doug does and he doesn't.
