In the looney bin! lol
Things have been crazy over here. Our house is in the selling mode, should have sold to the guy that asked if he could buy it in the summer, oh well. Trying to close on a house in Evansville/Newburgh IN. That's right, the place that just had a tornado! That is just my luck. Our new house was 5 blocks or so from where it hopped through town. I swear if it isn't hurricanes, it'll be tornadoes.
We were planning on the move based on Eric's schedule for Nov. CHQ asked people to take voluntary leave, and then don't give it to them. So, Eric is stuck with 4 day trips. And is working his first Thanksgiving. ughh

No, he does do day trips. He was bidding the 4 days cause we still have a house here in Orlando and is stiill based for the month of Nov here.
The sellers are having some issues closing the house. Hopefully we'll leave by the end of the week, if we can close on Thursday.
The voluntary, unpaid leave was supposed to help not furlough any pilots and since Eric is way at the top of the list and we are moving, he figured hey why not? A month off would be great.
A total mess and I am surrounded with boxes everywhere and have 2 kids climbing on them!

Well you've had a lot of replies from people who are married to pilots - so here's the view of someone who is not yet married but dating one (who is with a major and does 17 day trips at a time!).

Whoever you date will come under fire from her friends and family telling her that of course her pilot cannot be a real boyfriend because he cannot be faithful. She will get told over and over again that her boyfriend has many girlfriends and is being chased by all the flight attendants he works with...you will need to show her that you are not a 'playboy of the skies'. If she can understand your life and what its like when you are away on trips, this can go a long way to help her believe you and not listen to what other people say.

Be careful of girls who go 'ga ga' over you when you say you are a pilot..there are lots of girls out there who will treat you like a god because you have a job that many women fantasise about, that men dream about and supposedly you must be very rich...be careful also for the nasty comments you will get from men too who will dislike you instantly because they also believe its a god-like job and that you are more of a man than they are (and that you are more attractive to women than them because of your job).

Although being a pilot at a major is like handing over your life to them, remember a pilot is not what you are...its what you do.
