Default Warning--Jumpseater with Fake ID

This was posted on my DH's pilot site this morning:

Guys and Gals,

DG and I had a jumpseater with a fake ID Out of ORD
yesterday. In the cockpit we were handed his medical, license, a
company ID from National Jets Inc. and a jumpseat authorization form
complete with a record locator.
DG noticed his medical looked computer generated, no signature in
the Airmans signature box and the limitations box was blank. I talked
with this guy and something did not seem right. I used to work for
National Jets and gave them a call, talked with the director of
flight ops. He had never heard of this guy and asked me to confiscate
his ID. We turned over the pilot and ID's to the GSC.
As far as I know this guy was interviewed by the Chicago Police and
released with his ID's, I really hope this was not the case.
My gut feeling is this guy was just a dumbass trying to come see his
girlfriend in Ft. Lauderdale for free, but it does not take a lot of
imagination to come up with another scenario.
Oh, and he wanted to know if we are hiring.

We had an incident like that at Eagle in FWA several years ago. Some guy with a beard showed up with like 5 carry-ons wanting a jumpseat and presented a ratty-looking UAL ID. The F/A thought it looked suspicious, but told the guy to go on up front and talk to the guy. This was on an ATR, so she had a few minutes to call the guys and tell them what was up before he made it up there. The guys called airport police, and by the time they'd 'talked' to him, and stalled him, airport police were waiting when the CA escorted him to the back of the plane. He was promtly arrested.
