He's so nervous. He failed his private check ride when he felt prepared, so he doesn't want to think about how prepared he feels for this one. His instructor said his flight yesterday was the best one to date...so that's good. I'm scared for him. My selfish side really isn't prepared for him to fail and needing to console him. He says that if he fails he's gonna quit and find a different career. Failing 2 check rides doesn't look to the airlines. ANd what's really frustrating is that he hasn't failed any stage checks with Sierra - and those are tougher than the FAA rides. Anyway - if you think about it, send good thoughts or pray or whatever you do at 1 pm (PDT) today. Thanks.

Wow! He's taking his instrument ride already! Best of luck to him! My dad failed his first instrument ride. He forgot to take into account some deviation on his heading indicator (he knew about it, he just forgot to factor it in) and when he 'broke out' at minimums he was on approach to Lake Monona instead of the Madison airport. Oops. I sure hope your dh passes with flying colors! I'll be sending lots of 'good flying' vibes his way! Let us know how it goes!

Well...it took longer than expected because his doofus instructor didn't sign the right endorsement, so they didn't even get in the air until 4:00. He landed about 6. His words, "I passed the hell out of it." ![]() I'm so proud of him. Oh yeah. And today, I signed the offer letter from the company I've been temping at for 4 months. As of Monday I'm a full time permanant employee and will get a $4/hour raise!!!! ![]() It's a good day here in NorCal. ----OK Sorry--- I'm looking at the "graemlins" and just couldn't help but laugh. I'm gonna tell a story in all graemlins. ![]() The End.
