Default Our men in uniform...

Uniforms are mentioned several times on different threads, so I thought I'd start one for pictures of "Our men in uniform".

I call this picture...

Here's my guy:

This is at Scenic Airlines (his first 'real' flying job):

This is him with his two nephews when he was at Eagle:

And finally, his current job at Delta (I have a better one of him full-length, but I can't find it):

Oh man. I know you all say it stinks and the fabric is itchy or whatever, but I can't wait for my dh to have one! Not only for what it looks like, but also for the symbolism!

Everyone has to start somewhere. My DH started as a CFI. Then was hired by a commuter airline. He has now been with AA for 25 years. He still keeps his flight instructor certification current. In this day and time ya just never know. Always have a plan B.

What are your husband's plans?

MQAAord,
Those are great pictures! Made me start searching for early pictures.

I wish we had recent pictures of us together in uniform. But we don't, so these will have to do. We met in 1995.

I think some can't see the pictures I post on this site. If you can't see the pictures, try this link:

MQAAord, post some photos of both of you together in uniform.

Dianne

Well, I could only find one pic of the two of us together in uniform. This was one of our engagement pictures. We were only at Eagle at the same time for a few months before he left for TWA, and we never got to fly together. This was taken in Nov of 2001. I was furloughed, and kind of didn't want to wear the uniform, but I really wanted a nice pic of us together in uniform!
[img:5143bbc4e9]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid99/p4cf7938b28312f900660f7cfd18c185e/f9f47f5a.jpg[/img:5143bbc4e9]

So here's a few of me:

This was my new-hire picture. Right after we get our uniforms in new-hire school they make us take a cheesy-looking picture. This was November of 1995. I was 20, damn, was I young!
[img:5143bbc4e9]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid101/p786f454370f84f93866be2272f1ff26e/f9d397cc.jpg[/img:5143bbc4e9]

After graduation they line us all up on a staircase in the lobby of what was once the main lobby of the "American Airlines Stewardess College". Every graduating class of AA (and some Eagle classes) have had their picture taken on this stairwell. This was my Eagle new-hire class, class 95-30, we graduated November 29, 1995. I'm second row up from the bottom, second in from the right.

This is me in the left seat of an ATR, wearing my captain's hat & jacket. He was a pretty small guy, his hat was almost too small! This was October 1996.
[img:5143bbc4e9]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid101/pdb9944346a99fed2a6e1d24e160debd9/f9d397f1.jpg[/img:5143bbc4e9]

This is me in what is now the old uniform. I like this uniform much better than the current one, I don't know why, I just think it looked better. I never flew the ATR I'm standing on, (N275BC), it was taken at the hanger at O'Hare, and the airplane just happened to be there for maintenance, and the mechanics let me use it as a prop. I'd never seen this one before, and I never saw it again! This was taken in July 1998.

This is my American Airlines new hire class picture. It was April 19, 2001, and I was in class 01-09. Little did we know we'd all be furloughed twice... I'm in the fourth row up from the bottom, third in from the right.

And here's the last one, this was me working the galley on a 767. It was the one and only time I ever got to work the galley in the 767 (I LOVE galley!). It was a reserve trip when I was based out in LGA, taken sometime in July of 2002.

Sorry for the length of the post, guess I get a little carried away reminiscing!
