| Admin/Owner ![]() | So - what's your take on the college student admitting to stowing those weapons/stuff in the airplanes? surprising that the TSA haven't admitted to "being wrong" yet or finding out who let the kid through and all that... but glad to hear they may want him to work and be TSA's secret agent... although - it makes me wonder that if he tries to get past the TSA as a test run (which would be his job) - will the TSA have to arrest him everytime to make the people in line feel better about catching a suspected terrorist (if they're good enough to find the "stuff")??? things that make you go hmmmm...... |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | its really stupid that they are making such a big hulabaloo out of all this. Seriously - we all knew/know that the TSA is a huge joke and the kid was just doing what we all wanted to do but didn't have the ovaries to do. (b*lls if you're a guy). The tsa should hire him and quit searching the old ladies and racially profiling people. (as in, stop searching all the arabic guys) don't they realize that terrorists are probably not going to use planes again? it worked once and now we're all so hyped up on it, why would they bother doing it again when they could just as easily take advantage of us somewhere else. It would help too, if we kept ourselves off the bad side of the rest of the world so we didn't look like a bunch of big cowboys out to save everyone (ala Iraq) |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | "didn't have the ovaries to do" HAHA I love that!! actually, i don't see why the terrorists wouldn't use planes again.. since all the TSA has done is make everything seem like it's safe when it's actually just as bad if not worse than it was previous to 9/11.... I think the kid did good cuz we all want to expose the TSA for wrongdoings but we know we'd be in deep doodoo if we did that "in their face" type gotcha... it's really too bad that the TSA deems themselves higher than everyone else including the pilots - that may eventually cause them some serious trouble if terrorists do try to use the planes again! if you think about it - i'm not sure the US is out to save the other countries but to try and make them more useful & democratic FOR the US... I think sometimes our "higher ups" thinks they preceed over all other countries and they get such a big ego boost out of it that they want to make all countries just as good as the US (not saying that we're "good" though cuz we have a lot of sh*t problems!) - equate that to Napolean trying to make himself an emperor or Hitler wanting to be supreme power over all.... sounds a bit familiar and I know i'm not the only one that thinks so... |

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | ya know, i do believe you are right (on us wanting to make other countries democratic for us) because I am a firm believer that the war in Iraq had some definate black gold undertones. I'm not saying that oil was *the* cause for the war, but its kinda convienet dont you think? Also, why were we so hesitant to jump in to Libya (I think it was?) when they asked for our help in establishing a democracy? We kept on telling the president to get out and then we'd come in, but we didn't, he got out and then in comes the UN...how convienent we let them do some fun stuff when its not in our best economic interests to help out. Also...little odd why we secured all the Iraqi oil fields first before the cities. If we are to follow the law to the letter then the kid should go to jail because it has all those warning signs all over the place at the airport..."you have to declare the following items in checked baggage and the following items are prohibited on the plane" etc. anyway - i think he did us all a huge favor and I applaud him. Seriously the TSA needs to be completely scrapped and rethought - maybe consider just going back to the previous system of not harrassing people and federalizing security screeners so that they actually are trained and give two sh!ts about their job. BAH! you've opened up a can of worms on this one Kristie! :-p |
