word over on JC is that Eric did get furloughed... it's got to be horribly frustrating but the great thing about JC is that Eric has contacts up the wazoo over there so i'm hoping he won't be jobless for long!!!

If anything, Tanya, let us know if something doesn't pan out and doug will start asking around!

Also, with the possibility of Plato (doug's friend from airlineapps.com) coming out for Network JC, it might be good for Eric to attend, if he can and meet the man himself...get some contacts that way and see if Plato knows anything about where to apply etc... if he needs a buddy pass, we've got one he could use.

He's made some wonderful contacts on JC, but more importantly he's made some wonderful friends there too!

I kept saying to him "aren't you glad I pushed you to post there?" LOL! He didn't believe me that he'd meet alot of different types of pilots and maybe make some good connections there. Now I can't get him off that site when he's home.... HELP!

Get this, he's flying his butt off right now. A female FO called in sick for last weekend and they gave her trips to Eric (with the premise that he's furloughed when she returns to work). Well he sat around for two days and then they got a HUGE trip (8 hours of actually flying) and now that it's past the 18th (his duty time) he's getting over-time. THANK GOD! I hope this girl never shows up to work again LOL!

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.

It worked because Eric got a call yesterday that he's got his job back. One guy took the Chief Pilot position, another guy went to UPS, and another guy did... something (not sure).

So they're not furloughing anyone.

I'm not breathing a sigh of relief just yet though. If they don't get the government contract on Oct. 2nd (like they think they will) then he'll be furloughed i'm sure.

I think my DH holds the record for the most furloughed and un-furloughed pilot in history LOL!
