Wow! NetworkJC is on a roll...and we need your suggestions...

We took a trip to LAS on the LVCA's dime for a tour of various hotel meeting venue's (for Jetcareers/NetworkJC) and did we learn A LOT!!

We toured 8 properties (a few off strip, most on strip) and had one morning tradeshow for a lot of the other properties we couldn't get to....We got to check out the various room packages, see meeting spaces, taste test some of the resort foods and entertainment (we were treated to Myste're at Treasure Island). We had a TON of face time with the LVCA people and now know our contact there really well which will help us work on NetworkJC's October plans. We plan on expanding a lot this year and offering some serious incentives to come....including incentives for the ladies (more than we've ever done in the past). We just need to see what we can work out but the possibilities are ENDLESS because Las Vegas is open for business, more than ever before, and ready to cater to small business folks just like us. A lot of the resorts have changed how they operate their contract negotiations and so forth so it should work a lot better.

Anyhoo, i just wanted to give you the scoop that you may very well want to put NetworkJC on your calendar this year... we typically hold it sometime in the last 2 weeks of October. Location and exact dates are currently TBA due to the prospects of variable venues to choose from.

If all goes according to plan, this event should have quite a few big names (employers, vendors etc), a new name (yes, we're looking to create a new brand for this event, keeping Networkjc as our networking component (incorporated into the whole idea of what we will be doing), and a lot of fun attached!

The only question i have so far for you girls (and i'll have more later, trust me)...is....

What would bring you out to LAS with your husband or significant other if he were coming to (i'll just continue to say the regular branded name for now) NetworkJC? If his schedule was busy with pilot this, aviation that....what type(s) of entertainment would you like to see added to the extra curricular options?

don't limit yourself with just girlie stuff like the spa....we could do (or offer) just about anything as a group or on an individual basis....it is vegas, there's a plethora of fun and/or relaxation.

if you can, give me as much detail as possible....for instance, if the spa interests you, what amenities of the spa? if the pool, what about the pool area? if hiking, biking, adventure...what in particular?

You know I'm always in, but if he's off doing pilot type of stuff, I'd love to do spa (massage/pedicure); A show or two - last winter we went and saw Blue Man Group and that was awesome, something like that or maybe one of the comedy acts, Cirque de Soleil. I'd also like to do a JC ladies craps or black jack table (cheap one, $5) so that it's low pressure for those who haven't played before and don't want to feel like all the other people at the table are upset because they're taking a long time or asking questions. If it's possible, maybe do a food (dessert) or wine tasting in one of the casinos.

How's that for a wish list?

I with Skibum I'm all about wine tasting or drinking in general! We went and saw Tony and Tina's wedding a couple of years ago and it was alot of fun they served dinner and had audiance particiaption. Also if the pool has a swim up bar..I've always wanted to have/go to a swim up bar...I really want to go this year and since dh got a plane were only 2 hour flight from Vegas from our house!

Myself...i know i like the spa (manicure, massage, pedicure) or hanging at the pool with a pina colada (maybe get a casita)...wine tasting is always a plus and i found a great venue while i was in vegas too!

other than that, i like the idea of maybe seeing if we can all do a cooking class (they have sur la table classes in the area) or something fun like that.

i like the dessert tasting idea! hehehhee....why not enjoy some delicacies that we normally don't do?

shows, i can easily look into shows!! the cirque shows are awesome...Myste're was something else!! I'd like to see Zumanity myself or even maybe one of the erotic shows (peepshow?)

I'll take a look at what concerts or entertainers will be in the area come October too.

Wow!!! That all sounds like fun!! The casita sounds really nice and i'd be into the dessert tasting and the cooking class! I hope DH can work something out this year so we can go... fingers crossed.

I don't know about doing a peepshow, but one of the shows like "Thunder from Down Under" or something like that could be a LOT of fun with a group!

I don't excatly what you are looking for as far as avation? like fun stuff or learning stuff? for us? cause my suggestion would be a non rev travel class, have some experts explain how to gwt the most out of our bennies, and how and what travel sites to use ect...
