Default Fate is the Hunter

Anyone here read it? DF is begging for it for Christmas. Just curious about anyone else's reviews on it. He says all the CA's he's talked to about it have said every pilot MUST read it.

andrew is all about it! i remember him trying to get me to read it even when i'd only just met him a few years ago. he just recently bought like his 5th copy (loses them). it really sounds like a good book i just haven't had time lately.

i was actually planning on reading it next week during the drive out to family visit/thanksgiving dinner. 8 hours each way should be plenty of time ro relax with a good book, right? weird that it came up on here too!

My husband's read it. It may even be on a shelf somewhere. I'll ask him about it and get his thoughts when he gets home.

I have never heard of it, but I just asked my DH about it and he has heard of it and said he heard it was really good. Our best friend read it and loved it. I'm gonna check this out!

Hubby loved it! Gave it away as gifts to some of his flying students when he used to instruct.

that is on my boyfriends short list of favorite books. I'm guessing it is worth a read too.

Read it, loved it, It is one of the greatest classics writen on the history of aviation. I recommend all flyers and companions pick this one up. Earnest Gann's wonderful autobiography is fantastic, it really tells the story of the pioneers in aviation.
One other book I can recommend is "Flight of passage a memoir", by Rinker Buck. It tells the story of two young boys, one just bearly got his pilot lisence at16 and they decide to rebuild a piper cub and fly cost to cost back in the 60s. The book has been discribed as a cross between "Huckleberry fin and The spirit of St. Louis". One of my favorites!
