Great find with the article-
The operative word is "base" salary.

Many ceo's have done the same and the result is that they all still walk away with huge parachutes and bennies and massive amounts of stock and annuities, and as the old joke refers to thousands of lawyers at the bottom of the ocean as a "start" this means about the same--wishful thinking and a handful of humility ("I feel your pain"...[my hiney!!])
It's all done for the media image and making employees "feel" good when in reality it means squat which I think translate literally to "so what? I'll take the money later and run.'"
They've done it for years and it's not an exclusive practice in the airline industry.

HA! I doubt Bedford will follow suit. How and why does this man think that he should be the higherst paid ceo?

I knew this sounded too good to be true. Actually, when I found the article the title it was under was ' Uncommon Occurences'. Thought that hit the nail on the head.
