[quote=ASA_wife;60574]People now a days are in it for the quick buck. If she wins god help us all, then everyone and the mother will be suing for something stupid and meaningless. quote]

Don't you guys think that society has actually already set precident for any type suing already...? Look at all the frivalous lawsuits that judges should have just thrown out before they waste the court's time and our tax dollars. Let's see....someone suing McDonald's because they are fat? give me a break! Look at all the jailmates suing because they don't have enough channels on their cable t.v. I don't have cable, but these prisoners, who were convicted of a crime, think it is a given right that us tax payers need to provide them with while they are in prison.

Do you know why these lawsuits happen? because of greed, the entitlement syndromes, and because examples have already been set that they can get away with it. Pretty soon, you will be sued for looking at someone the wrong way. or as far as airlines, we will probably see someone sue an airline because adequate food wasn't provided and they got hungry, which in turn made them angry, and that is why they robbed such and such. or how about, the flight attendant was mean when she told my 5 year old to stop jumping up and down on the seat and pushing the call button. This has caused my son to be emotionally scarred for life, and we want compensation from the airlines, the flight attendant, and the pilots that flew that plane. Can't you guys see someone dumb enough to do this?

The only way it will stop is if the courts start throwing it out before it goes to any trial. These frivalous lawsuits need to stop. The people are stupid for bringing them up, the lawyers are stupid for taking the cases and filing the motions, and the courts are stupid for allowing it.

Just my 2 cents.

I saw that too, she says TSA was to brutal to her and TSA says that she was uncooperative to them, so they had to resort to a throw down.

To me if I am thrwon around by an police or secuirty officer it is for a reason. There are some that do take there power to serouisly, so sometimes unlawful throw downs happen.

Regina-I totally agree, I just felt that if she does get it through the courts that it will open a flood gate of frivlous lawsuits. The McDonalds on is my favorite, if you eat there everyday no @#$% you are going to get fat. I worked there in HS and gained some weight just eating one meal there every other day.

Today everything is based on what you have, so if you dont have the money to get it then you are nothing. Which is stupid.

About the airlines, DH commuted yesterday to ATL, well there was a lady who let her little girl sleep across the seats with no seat belt as the plane landed. Jason said that the FA tried to get here to buckle her daughter up, but she would not listen. What if the plane stopped suddenly or had experienced turbluence and she flew out of her seat and gotten hurt, the lady would probably would have tried to sue the airlines. As when they were parking, the CA had stopped the plne, but did not shut off the seat belt sign, so 10 people got up to get there bags, then the plane moved again and the CA slammed on the brakes and people went fowrad. If someone had gotten hurt, then you know someone would have tried to sue. Yet in both of thsoe cases it was the person at fault not the airline.
