| Delta and XJT have now decided to end their agreement September 1. Hopefully, since XJT signed a new agreement with CAL they will use those planes for that agreement. Last edited by lucky81698; 07-03-2008 at 04:31 PM. |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | yea, i heard that this morning from doug...he said they're dropping the regionals because they really don't "need" them and have apparently grown tired of supplementing their fuel tanks (paying for the gas). i had no idea mainline was paying for their fuel... that just makes the regional bottom line look so much worse!! |

| Even with them moving the planes to CAL Express, its not really going to matter because they cut back on block hours too, and dont need that many pilots. If your DHs were hired in the last year and a half (like mine), it's time to look for another job because here comes the furloughs. What really makes me mad about the whole thing is XJT has yet to tell us anything. My DH first found out a little of the information from a gate agent in Bakersfield!...Then came the Delta press release and an email to XJT pilots from the UNION not the company! All of this and the company is unable to answer questions because its a hoilday weekend! |

| These masterminds just don't get it. They built the model on $50/barrel fuel. I'm not going to go into the I told you so mode re UAL, DAL and others exiting BK with that model. But they don't get the fact that, while other major industrial nations are growing such as China and India, the US is driving the economy. So, when oil is really high and people in the USA are losing their jobs, feeling the pinch and tightening the belts--guess what happens? They stop buying. It's already happened. Businesses have had to adjust. Sales are really down. But, to make things to sell here in the USA, parts are often made overseas. Those buying parts, etc everywhere stop. It's a global economy so it stops all over. So, while some of the legacies may be sitting pretty thinking their future is in international flying, they may find that there is a world wide recession here. Save your money and prepare. The masterminds don't get it. By the way, DAL and NWA can't talk furloughs now with their merger pending approval. Once it's approved, let's see what happens. This is all so sad.
