Default Drama on an overnight

Hubby had some drama on an overnight yesterday evening.

He was overnighting in Chattanooga, TN (so sorry to report this story about Chattanooga. Grew up very near. Chattanooga is really a nice tourist town with a lot of nice people, just not this person.) He and the rest of the crew took the free electric bus to dinner. On the bus on the way back a family with a service animal boarded the bus. Hubby said the driver was obvioulsy afraid of the dog, a big german shepard wearing a service vest. The driver quized the family about the dog, even asking for papers! Finally let the family take a seat but continued with quite a bit of attitude towards them. The family ended up getting off the bus to end the confrontation.

Hubby stood up and joined in with "that isn't right." (I am SO PROUD of him!) The bus driver (already heated up) started yelling at him. He asked to speak to the driver's supervisor and driver ended up kicking him off the bus calling him drunk and raceist (he was/is neither drunk nor racesist). On a bus full of other people! He ended up calling the police because the driver's supervisor wouldn't come down and talk to him.

The police filed a report for the family with the dog and another report for hubby (calling a pilot drunk on a bus full of other people while he is overnighting can't be good for the career). As the family with the dog and hubby and his crew were dismissed, the police were taking the statment from the bus driver and her supervior, who finally came down when the police called and ask them to come down. I asked hubby if he didn't want to wait around and hear the driver's story but he (already spent 3 hours there dealing with the situation) said that the driver was yelling and screaming at the police and in no way appeared creditable or even sane.

Yikes! Good for him standing up for that family! So many people would have just looked the other way!

YAY! for your husband, we need more people like him!
Like all those accounts of people being harassed/hit-n-run and not a single person around them did a thing! I am surprised how a person could just sit through that, way to go for you husband he did the right thing!
