If you don't want to rent a car I could drive you 1/2 there up to cuba or something? I thought there used to be direct flights from abq to farmington, but I just looked and everything connects through pheonix or denver??! Good luck, if you need anything let me know!

I know it's crazy, mesa cut that route a couple of months ago and that is how I did all my traveling! I have been looking at the flights and I might try to fly into Durango, CO (which I love that place!) that is only about 30 mins from home...we'll see though...and thank you for your offer!

Northwest has submitted their numbers to the public, too. Of course, they'll accommodate as many as possible with early retirements, etc, but it will have a huge effect in all their cities.

Fares are definitly up all over. People b*tch at me all day long about it! lol I know Delta has good fares sometimes to certain cities. I signed up for a Skymiles account (just to research for work) and I get a weekly deals email. Normally CVG/DEN is like $500 and I got an email for it being $98 each way before taxes. I didn't believe it and even looked it up and it sure was there! It has to be on certain days of travel and other restrictions, but maybe other airlines might have that, too. There are usually like 4-5 cities a week that are fairly low, considering the market.

It never fails to amaze me when I see a fare for $1k cvg-atl and for less than $200 sea/atl. And I still see those, too. I saw one atl/bcn for like $600 only a few days ago! I know thats international, but still, thats cheap!
