minus the smiley face. This whole thing just disgusts me. I can't believe it. TSA might as well be picketing, and GJ's might as well be crossing the lines yet again. In essence, that is what they are doing here. I hope to God that something happens to stop this.

| Jetgirls Member | I knew that Thiago had done this aerial mapping before, but I don't think I ever asked how he got into it. It seems he'd have to know something about cartography and not just aviation. Or did they train him in the mapping part once he got the job? Oooh, or is it done photographically? |

Actually, I don't think I EVER said "awesome". And yes, I give thanks that DH has a job and we could pay bills and put food on the table while I went on interview after interview. Thank God he had insurance so we were covered when our little girl got sick. Thank God his pay was just enough to keep a roof over our heads. Darn right, THANK GOD! He applied for jobs at Walmart, trucking companies and the like. Those that did interview him didn't hire becuase he's overqualified and (duh) the economy is in the crapper right now. At least he can still fly............and we have health insurance (something we CANNOT do without). He hasn't stepped on your toes.......unless you stuck your foot out. MY husband is taking care of his family and meeting his obligations. Tell you what.............have your DH voluntarily give us his paycheck every pay period until TSA calls DH back. No? Big surprise. Don't judge until you have walked a mile in another person's shoes.

| Jetgirls Ol' School Member | Go Jets is THE reason your DH lost his job in the first place!!! And you know what? My DH has been furloughed from xjet and will not go to a place like GoJets that was created specifically to get around another company's contract. GoJets is taking away all the TSA flying and pretty soon, TSA will cease to exist DUE TO GOJETS! Your husband is helping put HUNDREDS of other pilots out on the street. We're getting unemployment right now and my DH is pursuing his backup career. He's on a COBRA from xjet's insurance and I get mine through private companies. So yes, I have been there (am there currently) and I still can't belive that your DH went to the company that cost him his job in the first place. |
