Cassie, there's a saying--you're not a real airline pilot unless you've been furloughed. I believe it's true. I know the feeling of preparing to lose the job twice over.

If we never went through bad times, we can't truly appreciate the good times. Savor what you've had that is good and make plans to move toward that again.

Cassie- can you send me the link to where you see this? I assume since yours and mine were in the same class, mine is on the list too. I just don't know where you are looking and df is flying right now, so can't get in touch with him.

Thank you ladies, all so VERY much...it really is crappy, and this is first in my book, so it'll be interesting...BF has a good attitude about the whole thing, in fact working on the resume right now! But until then, we will do what we've always done and get through each day...

I'm sorry that sucks! I am glad he's working on his resume though and seems to have a good attitude.

I'm sorry everyone is having to deal with this, it definitly sucks!! Dh just started with Comair last month and is more than likely getting furloughed in Sep. Just in time to get through training and done with IOE then its back to I don't know what! His flight school won't take back ANYONE that quits, no matter how much notice or anything you give. That is just their policy I guess. Since we are in base he is going to try and work the ramp while furloughed but I don't even know if he would be able to do that. He keeps insisting it will be fine since the ramp is hiring, but I don't know. And of course since he is so certain he won't ask anyone.

Sorry to have my own little pity party, it sucks for everyone in this situation!! As far as unemployment goes, does anyone know how they determine how much you get? Is it a percentage of pay or something?
