A pilot friend of ours received a text lsat night saying that the notices would be sent out this week by cert letter and his position may be eliminated or downgraded. Kind of tacky I thought.
This is going to be very intersting since this is the first furlough the company has actually done. The last time, they just fired people. The union is already having a fit at how the company is moving the Rep guys. The company does everything to their convenience.

Stay strong ladies!

Trying too...I have never heard of such a thing, and yet, have never had to deal with such a thing...I'm just trying to keep-my-cool, especially with the BF, because most likely we're out...with me starting school again, I'll be working 1 day! That'll just barely cover my own bills, I don't know, honestly, I just don't know...

Don't worry Cassie- everythings going to be alright. Remember that he can work at a "regular" job until he gets recalled or is able to take a job somewhere else flying. Until then, he'll draw unemployment (I know, it's not much). It's time to get creative and figure out different ways of making money. Is there anything of yours or his you could sell on Ebay? I know DH and I have some stuff in our basement that we could sell and DH always has his Star Wars collection if things got really bad.

You'll put your head together and get this figured out!!!

What does eric think? Lee told me months ago it would happen, so we were preparing. I am still freaking out, I have never dealt with this kind of a thing, hopefully if they follow senority then we will be ok but he might get his based switched, but that is better than no job! Tracey

Yeah, it does suck. My df will be on the street. I am so sick of this, this is the second time for him in less than a year.

I feel sick. The economy sucks. My company's stock is down to $4.15 from over $50 last October (I am in the mortgage industry). I think things are going to get a LOT worse before they get better.
