| I'm glad that your DH has a job that he likes, has seniority, and a certain amount of security in. It's a risky time to jump ship anywhere right now. I just took issue with the Walmart comment and the ego comment because DH and I have friends who are in that position. We've watched these guys work their butts off to finally get to their dream job (not everyone's dream, just there's) only to have the rug pulled out from under them. They're not ego driven individuals, they just made the best decision they could at the time (without the benefit of a crystal ball) and now all their hard work is being thrown in their faces. I know one of our friends who's a really great guy and it pains me to see that after all his hard work, he's going to be unemployed later this year. He doesn't deserve it, as none of them do. I don't think I, or anyone, is making a distinction between regional/mainline because there isn't one. It's one persons dream and another persons dream... that's all! No one should be chastised for going to mainline, and no one should be chastised for staying at a regional. They're both honorable positions... in other words.... size doesn't matter! ![]() |
