Default SkyWest non-rev question

I've heard that you have to pay for first class on Skywest flights now. Anyone know how much it is? Does it come out of the paycheck or can you pay at the airport? We have a friend using a buddy pass and I just want to let her know how paying for first class works in case she wants/gets first class.

from my unerstanding...and I haven't delt with buddy passes yet with the new rules, but if you list for a 1st class seat then you pay. don't know how it comes out. but if you list for the coach and they move you up then you don't pay.

however Lance was talking with someone that told him that if you don't let them (the gate personnel) that you are willing to sit where ever that they won't switch you anymore. so if you list for 1st and it fills, and you didnt tell them that you would sit in coach if there are open seats, then they just pass you up. Have no idea if that is true or not.

Last month when we non reved united they bumped up us to 1st class with no extra fee. but who knows.

See if your DH can get ahold of the travel center and ask. let me know if you find out the final word.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to ask him to call. I'll also have to tell my friend to tell them she will take what she can get so they don't pass her up.
