I thought I would share some exciting news about EK.

Gulfnews: Emirates will fly first A380 to New York on August 1

Wow, that would be pretty exciting to see! It says on there the fuel economy is pretty good on those too.

Actually though, for as long as I can remember I've always wanted to ride on a 747. I've always been mesmerized by how big it is. Strangely enough, I managed to fly on one of United's 747s from SFO to ORD. Once I was on it I was like, "This is kind of old and not so glorious on the inside!"

I was the producer dispatched to do our coverage when the A380 made its first commercial flight to Heathrow (Singapore airlines). It was fab to see. It's a lot quieter than a 747, and seems rather majestic.
