Trans States - Yikes! (Make that double Yikes for me!)

So, I guess, Transstates just downgraded 22 capts to first officers... and my Hubby has IOE coming up on Sunday... SIGH

Please let everything be okay!!! I was really excited and loving this whole airline thing...

This industry makes my stomach hurt, if I think about it too long. You can never be "high enough" on the senority list in this industry, it seems.

Bid packages came out a couple days ago and Kevin was moved from #15 to #30. Still has a job, though...whew.

Ugh, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It is scary being in this business, with this economy. Hey...you could be me and my DF...I am in the mortgage business and he is a pilot...the two worst industries to be in right now??? Anyways, hope it all turns out for you guys!

Yeah, it's a real nail-biter! AAHHH!!!! So, he had his first day of IOE today, which went great! We wouldn't mind voluntary furlough with travel benefits, really, but he needs 100 hours of flight time within a certain amount of time (3 months or something) in order to not have to do the checkride again... so... We are just waiting, waiting, waiting... What else can you do?

Geez, Sarah, you and I are having trouble catching a break. There's this thing with TSA and apparently we are both sick...AGAIN. I get to see Kevin for all three days of Memorial Day weekend, though, and maybe even take a ride on a plane he's flying! I hope your week has a bright spot in it, too.

dh just heard thru the grapevine that there won't be anymore furloghs for a bit, so hopefully you are safe...........

After BF finished training with Republic, we heard they sent the class right after him home after they taught systems...then they offered to get them in another class but they had to restart training... and BF was flying with a new captain the other day, and afterwards checked schedules and the captain was downgraded to FO! It was NOT a pleasant flight for anyone! We all have to think positive, and yes with times like these makes it difficult, but just another step...
