Default instrument rating

wwwwwwoooooooohhhhhhooooooo Ok my b/f just finished his instrument rating which I am told is the hardest to get, which means not much longer. all he has left for his commercial is a long cross crountry trip and he is practicing his manuevers. He has decided to try his luck and not get his cfi instead work on getting alot of multi engine hours (which he will have to go somewhere else to do) but it seems so much closer.

We were really hoping that he would be able to get a job with mesaba flying out of detroit so that I wouldnt have to quit my job right away and he could commute until I found a job closer to d-town and then move that would work out wonderful, so if anyone has any inside info about if they are hiring that would be great. thanks ladys

Mesaba has been hiring a lot in the last year or so. Fiance started w/ them back in late July 2007. They're hiring right seat into the Saab, CRJ200 or CRJ900. Fiance is based out of MSP right now, but is interested in perhaps moving to DTW b/c he'll be more senior there. He's a commuter, so better lines is very attractive. Send me a message if you're looking for more specifics ... Congrats to your BF on the latest rating!

Congrats! I remember when Nick went through all of that about 5 years ago!

YAY! Congratulations! the INS rating is pretty intensive, the idea of flying an airplane without seeing out the window is pretty scary for me! Again, CONGRATS!
