Default Anyone else's SO starting training wiht Delta on the 17th?

Hello,
Has anyone else's SO been through training with Delta recently? My husband starts on the 17th and I'd just like to get an idea of what to expect-- how long is the training, how much will he be paid during training, etc.
Thanks,
Nikole

New hire training is about 6-9 weeks in ATL. Sometimes they ship them off to different cities for the sim training but most everything is in ATL. There's a great employee cafeteria and the crew shop is good for the uniform and all that jazz. I have no idea what he'll be paid in training, but it'll be on a per hour (8 hrs) basis. you're best bet is to ask him that since that may have changed in the 10 yrs that doug went thru basic indoc training.

He'll probably be staying at what we call the "training hotel" but there are others around that are better if he decides to move.

speaking of crew hotel...make sure that he LOCKS his bag/valuables...I'd get him a good security lock for his bag and have him lock his valuables in his bag as ATL hotels nears the airport have had problems in the past of workers stealing things in the room and/or things out of the hotel safes!! no joke! in fact, it might be even better for him to leave most of the valuables at home, he doesn't need them for training and get him a laptop type backpack so he can carry his laptop with him vs leaving it in the hotel

doug has recurrent in mid-April, so if you're dh needs any help, let me know.

Welcome to Delta Air Lines!
