Then to keep everything cold, he uses one of those large medical ice bags (can get it at a food store). Its blue, floppy and has a screw on cap. He likes that better than regular ice packs or zip locks full of ice. Here are some links to waht I'm talking about.

His lunch bag:
eBags Crew Cooler > Travel Coolers > Travel Accessories - eBags
My DH has the exact same cooler and loves it! We absolutely pack this cooler up and it has never been a problem. Benefits of wearing all of those fancy badges around their neck!

How funny!! Our DH's have the same rollarboard and the same cooler.

Okay gals, I've come up with the ultimate in loving wifely food packing! DH finally decided to give packing his food a go. I was trying to come up with ideas of stuff that would taste good to him and thought of hot pockets. Well he typically doesnt like pre-pack food so I thought about how I could make them myself.

My first prototype kind of spoiled him. I took refrig biscuits, flatened them out and put scambled eggs, sausage and cheese on one and covered it with the second. I then pinched the two together all the way around and baked until brown. I froze it until he left and them he warmed it up in the crew room. He said it was REALLY yummy. Unfortunately, it was terrible for him so I set out to come out with a similiar bread. I've tried refrig breadsticks, and the pizza dough mixes you can buy near the pasta. DH hubby wasn't impressed with the breadsticks -again he doesn't like the preservative taste, and thought the pizza dough was okay. Then the other nite while we were out for pizza at our fav resturant, I had a stroke of genius! I asked the manager if he would sell me raw pizza dough and he said yes! It is working great!

Dh mostly wants bfast sandwiches but pretty much anything could go inside. Theyare fast and simple to make too. DH says people stand over him and salivate! Just thought I'd share....

I was telling Fiance about your new homemade "hot pockets". He thinks its a great idea. If you're wanting to make them a little healthier, but still tasty, eliminate some yolks from the eggs you scramble. Or simply do all egg whites. And if he likes sausage or bacon in there, you can always trim the fat or buy lower fat varieties.

My biggest concern was that the biscuit dough has so much fat in it -guess that's what makes them taste SO GOOD! LOL
