This is a really helpful topic! DH gets burnt out on the things I pack for him, and it's hard to come up with new ideas. He's pre-hypertensive, so I have to watch the sodium content. That's hard to do with packable items! It seems if something is low in calories and fat, it's almost always extremely high in sodium.

If he brings food, it's usually:

Fiber One Chewy Bars (don't let the name scare you away... man are they GOOD! The extra fiber -9 grams total per bar- makes them surprisingly filling, too.) Sam's sells boxes of 20 for around $6.

Kashi Go Lean Crunch I usually pack that in a rubbermaid container, sometimes mixing in Craisins cranberries. (Those make good snacks by themselves, too.)

Orville Redenbacher's Smartpop microwave popcorn - kettle korn flavor is soooo good.

Instant oatmeal packets

Baby Carrots

Homemade Chexmix (yeah... not so low sodium. I know. Can't always be good.)

Tuna packets old stand-by

Sandwiches

Peanut Butter he used to take it, then got burnt out on it.

Cooked Chicken Breasts seasoned with Mrs. Dash

Hmmm... is that all? No wonder he's tired of what I pack him!

Hi there...my DH takes the tuna packages and those Tyson chicken packages (like the tuna ones), SlimFast cans and bars, I think he's tried those protein/carb bars, beef jerky, sometimes kipper snacks (eww...stinky but he likes them), snack applesauces (there's lots of other fruitcups available), oatmeal packets. He usually takes advantage of the complimentary breakfast (grabs a hotchocolate packet or tea bag to go).

We love those around here also. I get a huge box of them at Costco. DH loves to take them to work as well. At first I wasn't sure how they would be, but wow are they good!

Dh is an awesome packer.

He packs:

boiled eggs
ramen
oatmeal packs
triscuit style crackers
fig newtons
dried fruit
apples
two sandwiches (for 1st day)
almonds

He also eats at the hotel if there is a good discount
His Captains are very generous from time to time.

I keep telling BF to pack food and such, so that he's not eating fast-food the whole time, and saves some $$$...but his responce was, "I just don't eat..." obviously NOT the way to go, but I've managed to sneak in bars/peanuts/and other misc. hand snacks, he is a very hard man to feed...

He has his little suitcase and a carry-on that can be attached on top. He puts it all in the carry on.

He can make amazing meals in a coffee pot! LOL

Well, I must say, I'm impressed. Fiance` has his rollaboard and his flight case. He packs filled to the gills. There's no such room for the menu listed in your prior post. Perhaps fiance` will get a bit more streamlined as he becomes a bit more seasoned.
