| You know your husband is working, but crew scheduling calls the house looking for him, wanting him to fly? Ummm, he's already flying, knucklehead, check your schedules. I have had that happen to me so many times over the years it's not even funny, so today, I wasn't in the mood and really got the guy. He asked to speak to hubby, he had some flying he needed him to cover. (For some reason they show him as sitting at home instead of in the plane) I thought he was flying. He told me he was flying. He's out with that girl, again isn't he? That's it. I uh...uh...you know, i um. Don't try to cover for him. I've had it. I hope you find him before I do. Hubby calls about ten minutes later. He's laughing so hard, he can hardly get out hello. What the hell did you say to him? He called me all stammering and telling me how sorry he is for getting me into trouble. Well...(I reply all innocently) Maybe next time he'll look at the schedule better. It happens all the time and drives me insane. Can they not keep track of things better than that? I've been with him before when he's gotten those calls. He'll snicker and asked, so do you want me to cover that one or the one I'm flying in about ten minutes? Oh, you're flying now? duh...LOL. UGH!!!! Like my day hasn't been crappy enough... ![]()

That is the funniest thing I've read in a very long time. I would have loved to see the look on the scheduler's face. Crack me up!!!!!! Jen

| He's always had it listed. We live so far out in the country, the cell phone won't get a signal here and he just leaves it charging in the car. I do the same thing with mine. We have caller ID on the home phone, so if he's off, he just doesn't answer it.

| Jetgirls Member | That's fantastic! I would love to torment crew scheduling like that. The only run in we've had so far was when dh was sitting in his plane at the gate getting it ready to go and his CA called crew scheduling b/c he (the CA) and the flight attendant couldn't find their FO. Turns out the CA and FA were sitting in the wrong plane! DH had already turned his phone off in the plane and crew scheduling called and left a nasty message on our home answering machine asking where he was. Wouldn't it be nice if they called back to apologize for their stupidity? K

| Jetgirls Plus Member ![]() | That is hillarious! I need to do that. I can't even beging to tell you howm many times that is happened to us. Here's one. How about scheduling calling dh asking him where he is. His reply, in the airplane, where are you? Or what about last minute schedule changes and instead of hubby dh'ing, just as he's getting situated in his seat, all pax on board, dispatch calls and asks why he isn't getting ready to fly the plane, hmm, wasn't aware he was flying, so there he is getting seat belt off, opening overhead bins and making his way back to the front. He just looks at the pax and says, guess they want me to fly the plane today! lol Years and yrs ago, when CHQ was based in NY, can't remmebr the entire story and if it was CHQ or maybe it was some other company, there was a crash, on the manifest it had this captains name on it. I later flew with him to hear he story. He was taken off the trip, but not the paper work. His family thought he was dead. He later had to prove that he was NOT on the airplane and that he was who he said he was. Good grief, schedulers just need to get it together.

They have Brian's cell number - they never call the house. ALTHOUGH, crew scheduling has been known to call the hotel on an overnight if he doesn't answer his cell phone.
