| Atlantic Southeast Airlines Reaches Tentative Labor Contract Agreement With Pilots Saturday September 29, 12:07 pm ET ATLANTA, GA--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 29, 2007 -- Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc. (NasdaqGS:SKYW - News), late yesterday reached a tentative labor contract agreement with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) that represents ASA's nearly 1,700 pilots. According to ASA President Bryan LaBrecque, "It has been a long road to get here, but we are glad to finally have a tentative contract agreement that will benefit ASA's hard-working pilots while allowing us to remain cost-competitive within the regional airline industry." Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., operates more than 800 flights each day to 141 airports in 34 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Mexico and Turks & Caicos. | ASA has a tentative agreement. A possible contract between the pilots and the company. The pilots will be voting on the TA and if it passes, they will have a new agreement, or new contract, for X years. They've been in talks for several years and it's about time. Plus it raises the bar for all the other "regional" pilot contracts. Jen |
