Default Spirit New Paint Job

Here's a picture of Spirit's New Paint Job. It's supposed to weigh 800 pounds less per plane...

My favorite paint job is Frontier. The mainline has adult animals on the tail and the regionals have baby animals on the tail. I know that it is cheesy, but I think it is just so cute.

xjet is going to be doing some flying for frontier here pretty quick, so they might end up with some painted planes! John thinks though that they'll just use the xjet branded planes rather than spend the $ to paint them in frontier colors because it's going to be a temporary thing with frontier

I saw one of those taking off at DTW today!! I like the tail art... but the "spirit" will take some getting used to...

800 lbs less per plane? how is that possible?

Ever picked up a gallon of paint? Paint has some significant mass and a plane's surface area is HUGE. That's lots of paint!

Way to knock off 800 lbs! That's about 4 pax!

Ah... that is so true. I didn't think about that.
