Personally, i think 9/11 is now the safest day ever to fly... people aren't so stupid as to just let things happen now a days and only the superstitous or really afraid folk won't fly on that day. Me, i see it as a "freebie day" a day for any nonrev to easily get to somewhere whereas back in 2001, it was much more difficult. heck, i had a hell of a time trying to get to my sisters wedding on 9/15/01...i literally made it in the middle of the night on the day of said wedding. needless to say, i got little sleep but was glad to get there (as was my sister)!

doug, he was stuck in Boston. He was scheduled to fly out at 11am that morning out of Logan. He ended up being "lost" by the company along with a lot of his DAL cohorts for 6 days after that. they all hung out at Mccormick and Schmicks for days in order to stay sane.

In fact, a day or so after the incident, the hotel across from the Plaza was raided as apparently, one of the hijackers had stayed there the night before. eerrrriieeeee....

I feel lucky considering when doug was supposed to be flying out of logan!! I try not to take anything forgranted now since i know i could have lost him as so many others lost their loved ones.

9/11 still just breaks my heart...sometimes I feel like I should do something, well not necessarily should, but I would love to do something...my heart is too small to try to save the world...but I make it my personal goal to help those in need...whether it be 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, or the local soup kitchen...I don't enjoy reliving the moments of when 9/11 happened, but when I view documentaries/pictures/testamonies, there is a part of me that is revived...a sense of patriotism...
