YAY!

I see the August Decision board is the last for a while and those hired will be floating in a pool until called.

Well, it's great to be with an upstanding company. After 9/11 those in the pool swam for 2 plus years. They all eventually got hired.

Compare and contrast to some of the legacies. With the legacies those offers made pre 9/11 were rescinded. Now that some of the legacies are hiring again, those originally hired pre 9/11 have to start all over again in the application process!

It really makes you think about it. Which employer is really looking out for employees first, recognizing that they will take care of customers and shareholders? The only answer is Southwest. CAL used to be in that mix, but there's new management and things are not the same.

I know there are some guys at CAL that came from XJT but were given class dates at NWA before 9/11. Their classes were cancelled but they recently got letters from NWA asking if they were still interested in working there. I don't think they had to start the entire application over if they wanted to to.

I know NWA is deparate due to the massive cancellations of flights. But United is making poolies reapply. But since both have announced their intention to be sold, who knows who will apply knowing that!???
