I want to read more pilot-specific lessons. Come on. Give 'em up.

When you are waiting in line to take off, you are NOT waiting on the runway, you are on the taxiway. DH hates it when non-aviation people on TV say they waitd a long time on the runway....he always yells at the TV...."you're not on the runway, you're on the taxiway".

Hum....what else. I'm sure there is a lot, but I can't think of any at the moment. I'll have to try and think of some more.

ok pilot lessions...that clouds aren't just for looking at, they can tell you alot about what the air currents are doing. and the big puffy ones that I think are the prettiest (and if I was flying I would fly towards them to get better look) can lead to the most troulbe b/c of the various air currents. We had a two hour lesson about this!....

forget the waher/dryer how about the tolet brush??? he must have any intrest in it b/c it doesn't have any buttons to push!

does that work for figuring out where the pots and pans are supposed to go as well?

5 years and he still doesn't get it.

Ian put the measuring cup up where I can't reach it because he likes it there.

(Which is totally fine - it's not "my" kitchen.)

Now, any time I need to randomly measure something, it just means I have to bug him to reach up and get it for me. So there. Ha!

ME TOO!!! I love listening to what he has to tell me...I'm slowing learning all the abbreviations, and can follow (almost) everything that he is saying...I think the best thing that I have learned is reading the weather briefing...Oh, and I love to smart people with my aviation alphabet!!!hahahaha

At least he puts them away! I have a huge stack of pots and pans on the stove because "why put them away? We're going to use them again!"

It's ok, I go turn the DVDs upside down or backwards and just put them all out of order. That'll teach him!!

Ha ha, I learned the METARs and what a DME arc is, and then completely shut down. Although he did teach me last week how to tell which pilot is flying the ERJ (there's an arrow on their screens that will point to the flying pilot). I'll use that ALL the time (but for what, I don't know).

I learned that crying on the phone, when you are in different cities, is a very bad idea.
I learned that passion for your job is one of the most inspiring things to see. I couldn't imagine him doing ANYTHING else!
I learned the stripes on the crew's shoulders actually mean something.
