Delta/Freedom ERJ base closing? - Page 2

My husband just got this announcement and yet it's true, they are doing a reduction in ATL for the ERJ (not a closure though). The JFK Dash base is closing and there will be a new ERJ base there instead. I think that they are routing 8-10 ERJ crews to JFK (some might come from ATL, not sure). Did you guys not get that announcement (if your hubby is based out of ATL)?

Yeah, I knew they closed the Crystal Palace and moved it all to the Sandcastle. But that wasn't a base, since we were talking about base closings or downsizing. PIT used to be a huge pilot and FA base but is no more.

Yeah, we just got it officially a few days ago. The reason I posted in the first place was because it was a rumor at that point. They'll be moving some to MCO and some to JFK and high senority who want to stay at ATL will be able to. Hopefully the Dash folks will take awhile to move and hopefully they won't move them right now (I mean, come on, in the middle of the craziest flying scheduling of the year??)... riiiiiight. lol

you'd be surprised at when they decide to do these things and/or how quickly they expect their people to jump...
