Im glad that they moved you to Denver, quick question...we were told that they were closing Denver? is that just for the brazilla? we have a friend that wants Denver is why I ask. We love Idaho, so I can understand why your husband liked it! little plug for ID threre. I think I'm the only Idahoian here on the site!

| DH was told taht it was only the Brazilla that was leaving Denver. People are saying that United wants to get rid of Mesa and have skywest fill in for them in Denver (with the CRJ). I don't know if its true, but that would be awesome if it was true (so DH could get back here). I guess skywest has already taken some of their flying. DH keeps saying they are really short CRJ pilots in Denver.

And yes, the commute has been pretty rough. He always leaves the day before he has to work and often can't come home until the day after he's done. So, we're very excited around here. Oh yeah, and its POcatello, not PIcatello huh? Dumb bunny that I am....LOL Jackie

That must have been so hard to have him gone so much. How did you deal with it for so long and not go out of your mind? DH has been gone for 6 days once or twice and I hate the idea of it. He just left today for 6 days and all I can think about is how much this sucks. You must be so thrilled that now he might be gone for just 4 days. Dh has commutable 4 days trips next months and I'm so excited he will gone only 4 days. DH is saying Skywest is thinking about opening at Kansas City base. He hopes they do b/c it would be so much easier for him to get there than ORD. Would your DH go there too if they opened that base? I also like that idea b/c he would be flying Midwest Express and would be forced to get the hat and blazer jacket. I love the hat and blazer on him, but he hasn't had to wear either of them in years (hasn't bought them w/ skywest and didn't have to wear them his last year at ACA/Independence). To get to see him in the hat and blazer again.....mmmm, Yummy! ![]()

Wow girl you and I have the same taste! I've been after Jarred to get the hat all along! We've talked about Kansas City but there is a question of how our flight benefits would change. If I'm going to lose benefits or status, I'm not interested. My whole family is in Upstate NY and the flight benefits are really inportant to me. The other question would be because it will be such a small base, what would his senority be like with only a year in? Would he wind up with all the crappy trips?I do need to qualify that DH had the opportunity to go to SLC several months ago but we decided to turn it down for a couple of reasons. The main thing was senority. No one seems to want Palm Springs so he was/is getting pretty good trips. Additionally, we stumbled into a pretty great crash pad opportunity -in a house, $20 a nite only when he needed it, nice owner, etc. So we decided to stay with the Devil we knew so to speak. It has been tough, but I've survived and I guess I can take comfort that it won't get any worse...right? LOL I have to say, your red-headed wonders are beautiful. Jason's hair was a definate surprise. Are you a red head? Jackie

Thanks about my DD's red hair. I have red hair also (pics in the photo gallery). DS looks like he will have blond or brown hair. Not sure yet b/c in different lights, it looks like different colors (it looks like it has a touch of red also). As odd as it may be, I was really surprised DD had red hair. No one in DH's family has red hair...everyone had dark brown. I'm the only one in my family with red hair....everyone else has dark brown also. I figured he didn't carry any jeans for red hair....I was wrong. It must have been recessive. When she was born, the first thing I noticed was her red hair. I couldn't believe it. It seems so much more common now too don't ya think??

| Don't feel too bad about being surprised by the red hair. We joked that DS would be a red head "just because" and he was born with an inch and a half of it! I have brown hair with red highlights and DH has brown hair with red in his beard. The last time there was a true red head in the family was my great aunts and uncles -that's three generations! We've been joking that the new baby will have olive skin and black hair. I have two full siblings with complexions like that and we think DH's bio father was dark. You watch, we'll have to adopt a baby to have one look like us! Actually, DS looked just like DH when he was born but looks more and more like me and my Dad's side of the family. The mannerisms and his sense of humor are definately his dad's though. Genetics are amazing! Jackie |
