| DH is trying to get home from ORD today after his 4 day trip. He called and aid there were 150ish stand-bys for the flight he is trying to get on. I'm not sure if they are paying stand-bys or non-revers. But Yikes. He is still waiting to see if he will get the jump seat....I really hope so b/c he had to leave the day before his trip and he only gets 2 day off before he has to do two 3-day trips (Yuck). But at least he has several different airlines and lots of flights to pick from in order to get home.

| Heh, I know that feeling! I was non-reving to PHX from ATL and the flight at the gate had 50 standbys on a full flight! Luckily, it was going north and not west so I got on mine with no trouble... but still, I hope he made it on!! |

He's heard all of the horror stories so now that he has his "dream job" at a major he wants to be within driving distance from his base (in this case EWR). I would have loved to stay in AZ but I knew I would not see him a lot so here I am in sweaty PA. If he ever decides to go to IAH we're moving to TX!

That was DH's rule up until he had the chance to upgrade. LOL Now he is wondering what he was thinking by commuting. He hates it...I hate it. We will never do it again. LOL
