I love being outdoors hiking travelling, scuba diving and climbing. Situation: DH is now flying long haul and is away 4-5 days a week, alot of the time over the weekends, so we don't get to see a lot of one another. Want to get the most of the the rare time that we do spend together. |

| Mary, this is interesting because my DH flies short haul, medium haul and long haul and is away 5-6 days at a time. I guess it's what we're used to enduring! I love the photo! |

| Admin/Owner ![]() | I moved this out so the conversation could be continued outside of the "Get To Know Ya" thread... but i'm wondering now...what exactly is a short haul vs medium haul vs long haul type of flight? I'm thinking it's based entirely on distance, but what is the range of distance for each? curiousity got to me ![]()

| Kristie, I would think short haul, would be like EWR-ALB, EWR-PIT, EWR-CLE Medium would be EWR-MIA, EWR-DFW, EWR-IAH Long would be EWR-SFO, EWR-SEA, EWR-SAN, EWR-FRA, EWR-LGW Mine does a mix of all on a normal trip. Jan |

| Hi ya, Short haul I reckon for us is anywhere in Europe, when my hubbie is there and back in a day. Medium Haul, for us would be Egypt, that's about an 18 hour day from my Dh, and he gets back in the early hours the next day. Long Haul, He goes to the U.S, Dominican Republic for example and stays 4-5 days. With these different hauls, it really is a case of changing your lifestyle isn't it! I've now got loads of hobbies, go to the gym more and am studying again. I've also become good at DIY and fixing things!! Question.... Why do things always decide to break or leak when DH goes away? Mary x Thanks Roz, glad you like the photo. I had sore cheeks by then from grinning!!!! really happy day! |
